My educational philosophy is based on the fact that each student needs caring, and secure school environment to assist him/her to mature socially, emotionally and physically. This idea builds on the fact that each student is a unique individual and has individual needs and wants. Therefore, my desire as an educator and teacher to assist my students to meet educational and life need and want through creating a unique environment that consists of six essential areas. These areas that I firmly believe in are; role of internal and external developmental forces, children learning best methods,  the purpose of education,  the students' and teachers' roles in the learning process, the ideas and

beliefs be manifest in actual classroom practice,  characteristics should a teacher have

 

I believe that I should implement the following major components in children education process which are using the learning styles model and multiple intelligence theory in the classroom. This mean child learning is affected by environment, emotions, social factors.

 

Environmental factors include sound, light, temperature, and design of the classroom. For example, some children prefer learning in bright classes. Besides, sound plays a significant role in the learning process, for example, some student prefers quiet areas because noise might affect their progress, on the other

 

hand, some children do not mind the noise. 

 

Emotional factors include motivation, responsibilities, and persistence.  Based on my teaching experience I believe in the teacher motivation, and encouragement role to meet the education goals. For me mainly because I am an English teacher and most my students as ESL students I considered the motivation as the most effective tool that I can use in my classroom because the characteristics of my students as L2 needs more much of motivation to push them positively to develop their level in the language. Thus, as an English teacher I should consider the role of motivation in the classroom to help my student to overcome any obstacle might they face due to language barriers.

 

Sociological factors have influences on children education according to my point of view are self-work, pair work, teamwork varied group work. For instance, some children work best alone. Therefore, the student should be encouraged to use self-discovery learning is the style in the classroom. Self -discovery learning is a journey that includes series of events whereby a student attempts to determine own feelings, personality, ability rather than following the opinions of teacher only. Having this opportunity in the classroom can lead to creating a meaningful life for the students. Therefore, I believe the role of curriculum development to achieve the self-discovery goal. This means through the curriculum which design to obtain students interest,  the students’ learning passion will increase so the possibility of self-discovering will increase as well. Increasingly, when students being as the major part of the developing curriculum, the self-discovery will improve then as

an educator I will motivate and master student’s skills to reach her/his goals.

 

The purpose of education, according to me,  is strengthening children mind to deal with specific challenges they will face throughout their whole life. Even though they will forget most of what they learned from me, the great effort they spend struggling with my academic materials will strengthen their mind and prepare them to real-life challenges in their future. 

 So to achieve this purpose, I should be the observer, organizer, controller, participant, and assessor. This means I should switch between these different roles to meet the appropriate role that meets the needs of children. 

 

Guidance is implemented in my classes through guiding my student to learn from different sources. For example, I always encourage them to search for the different sources of the information. I believe by this way my students will be able to discover more values and reliable information. Also, I think that being a guided educator in my class will encourage my students and me to practice many life skills in exciting teaching methods. Therefore, I considered guidance as a critical tool to achieve my goals as an educator and teacher.

 

Equality and diversity, or multiculturalism in my classroom are used as an ideal method to let the student learn from each other. Promoting the equality and justice among students in my classes is one of the elements of my educational philosophy. Equality in my classroom is about ensuring that all students are treated equally and fairly, no matter what their race, gender, and age. Diversity in my classroom is used to create an all-inclusive atmosphere to foster the education process among students. For example, when the voice of all students are heard, and classroom evolves where students have the chance to express themselves equally, then this equality element can be achieved in the classroom. Therefore, I believe that creating my classroom concerning the diversity and promoting equality is essential to the education process.

Moreover, students need to spread love and respect at the classroom; thus, this need is important and to meet this need I always encourage the respect and love between teacher and students and between students themselves as well. 

 

To make my educator role effective, I believe I should have some characteristics. These characteristic are; having the ability to demonstrate confidence, understanding each student’s motivation method, having life experience,  technologically capable, avoiding to be the only source of the learning in the classroom.
 
Finally, each teacher has own educational philosophy that is developing with years due to teaching different children with different characteristics.I am sure that this philosophy will be improved during next years.
